See how many sub-target reviews you can still absorb before your overall average drops under a planning target (default 4.8 Superhost), and how many consecutive 5-star reviews close a gap. Free, no signup, runs in your browser. Superhost rating rule last checked against Airbnb Help on 2026-10-03.

Prefer the 12-month overall rating from your host dashboard when planning for Superhost (Help 829). The public listing star average is often all-time and can differ. Defaults below are illustrative placeholders only — replace with your own counts.
4.9 planning target: Airbnb’s Guest Favorite Resource Center lists qualitative criteria (review count floors, high category marks, reliability) and does not publish a fixed star cutoff in Help. Some hosts still plan against ~4.9; treat that button as optional arithmetic only — not a Guest Favorite guarantee.
Overall rating for Superhost is the average of guests’ overall star ratings over the assessment window (Help 829). Category scores are separate.
Climb = fewest consecutive 5-star overall reviews that push (sum + 5k) / (n + k) to your target.
Absorb buffer = most reviews of a given lower star you can take and still stay ≥ target on the combined count.
Not modelled: review removal, exact rounding band on Airbnb’s display, category-score requirements for other badges, or any earnings uplift from Superhost / Guest Favorite.
Not tax, legal, or listing-optimization advice. No income or badge is promised. Airbnb’s Help Center and your dashboard win if they differ.
Questions
Is Superhost 4.8 overall or category averages?
Help 829 requires a 4.8 or higher overall rating. Guests also leave category ratings; those do not replace the overall figure for this criterion.
When does a review count toward Superhost?
Help 829: a review counts when both guest and host have submitted a review, or the 14-day review window is over, whichever comes first. Assessments run quarterly (Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1, Oct 1) over the past 12 months.
Why might my public listing rating differ from Superhost?
Public listing stars are often all-time. Superhost uses a trailing 12-month window on the listing owner’s account. Enter the dashboard figure when you care about the next assessment.
Does 4.9 guarantee Guest Favorite?
No. Airbnb’s Guest Favorite resources describe review floors, strong ratings, and reliability signals, updated daily per listing — not a published fixed star cutoff in Help. The 4.9 button is optional planning arithmetic only.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The arithmetic runs in your browser; nothing you type is transmitted or stored.
