See how many late or missed first replies you can still afford before your rate drops below a target — separately for the 30-day listing metric (search placement) and the Superhost 12-month window. Free, no signup, runs in your browser. Rules last checked against Airbnb Help on 2026-10-03.
1 · 30-day listing response rate (Help 430)
Dashboard metric: % of new inquiries + reservation requests you responded to within 24 hours in the past 30 days. Accept, pre-approve, decline, send a message, or send a special offer all count. Letting a request expire without responding is a non-response. Follow-ups in the same thread do not re-count.
2 · Superhost response-rate window (Help 829)
Superhost uses a different calculation: first reply to each new host/guest message thread over the past 12 months, assessed quarterly (Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1, Oct 1). Target is respond to 90% of new messages, and accept or decline new reservation requests, within 24 hours. Declining a request still counts as a response for Superhost.
3 · Coverage hours sketch (optional)
Sketch only: if you have no backup and threads can arrive any hour, uncovered hours are where late replies concentrate. Instant Book (Help 1510) can reduce reservation-request loops; inquiries still need a reply within 24 hours for the 30-day rate.
Current rate = on-time responses ÷ total new threads in that window (host arithmetic on your counts).
Miss budget (past window) = largest number of late/missed replies that still leaves rate ≥ your target on the current totals. If you already exceeded it, budget is 0 and the shortfall is shown.
Forward miss budget = how many of the expected additional threads you can still miss (or answer late) and stay at target, assuming past on-time counts stay fixed.
Two windows, two numbers. Help 430’s 30-day rate affects search placement messaging; Help 829’s Superhost response criterion uses a 12-month / quarterly assessment. Do not mix them.
Not modelled: Airbnb’s exact edge cases when volume is very low, Professional Hosting Tools differences, review replies (public reviews are separate from response rate), or any earnings uplift from the Superhost badge.
Not tax, legal, or listing-optimization advice. No income or earnings are promised. Airbnb’s Help Center and your dashboard win if they differ.
Questions
Does declining a reservation request hurt my response rate?
No. Help 430 and Help 829 both treat accepting or declining within 24 hours as a response. Letting a request expire without action counts as a non-response on the 30-day metric.
Do follow-up messages in the same thread count again?
Help 430: follow-up messages between hosts and guests do not affect response rate or response time. Only the first timely response to a new inquiry or reservation request matters for that thread in the 30-day metric. Superhost uses first reply to each new host/guest message thread over 12 months.
Is 90% the same for search placement and Superhost?
90% is the Superhost response-rate threshold (Help 829 / Resource Center). The listing’s 30-day response rate (Help 430) also matters for search placement; Airbnb does not publish a separate public percentage threshold for placement in Help 430 — use the target you care about (many hosts aim for 100% on the 30-day view).
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The arithmetic runs in your browser; nothing you type is transmitted or stored.
